Heaven in a Bowl...

Scott is taking me out tonight for a much needed date night. We are headed to Napa River Grill and then to the movies. I can't wait!! If you have never been to Napa River Grill, you need to go. Now! It is my favorite restaurant. The tomato soup is TO DIE FOR. It comes with this puff pastry on top that you pop with your spoon and let fall into the soup. My mouth has never been so happy!! Just look at the picture. I don't think 5:00 can get here soon enough.

No cake for you!

So, we're officially back on our diet today. I've been on break since October. Instead of losing the 9lbs I needed to reach my mini-goal, I've managed to gain 11. So now that mini-goal is 20lbs away. I guess it could have been worse, but it is still irritating.

I joined WW online again, and Scott is going back to the gym and is going to count points using his own method. He likes to follow the rules, even though he makes half of them up. But it works for him!

Wish us luck!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Cooper!!

We love you!!!

Introductions are in order...

So today I decided to start a blog, for no particular reason. My life is pretty boring. But I thought this might be a way to get my creative juices flowing, while keeping friends and family updated on the current events in my little world. I'm NOT creative and I'm NOT a good writer. It is what it is. But welcome to my life!

This is my little guy, Conor. Yesterday we found out he needs tubes in his ears. He is 13 months old and has lived on antibiotics with constant ear infections since month 3. The doctor said his ears never drain, and he can't hear very well. He equated his ears to a swimming pool. And when the pool sits, bacteria takes over. When you add antibiotics, it is like adding chlorine to the pool. It makes the water clear, but you still can't hear under water. So next Friday we go in for tubes. Hopefully this will ease the ear infections until Conor is old enough to see an allergist, and also help with his hearing and speech. I know tubes are pretty common these days, but it is still a big deal to me. Wish us luck!!
